For my first review I thought I would write about a coffee shop that’s right down the street from where I live. I’ve really been wanting to do a review about them when I finally got my blog so here we go….
There was a time after I moved into my new apartment where we didn’t have internet…I know, can you believe it! It was so hard not having internet, especially being a web developer. Well, not having a connection to the web, I was forced to use wireless at various coffee shops. Muddy Waters is close so I figured I would go there. I was buying coffee most of the times I went there and for the most part enjoyed their coffee. Not the best but late at night it worked. One time I went in there and just didn’t feel like coffee. The owner was in there, a dreaded lady with different colored dreads. As I was leaving, I brought up conversation with her. She gave me the cold shoulder and rudely said: “If you plan on coming in here, you should buy coffee!” I was kind of taken back and replied that I normally buy coffee but just didn’t feel like it today. After that I said if she wanted I could leave a couple of bucks for the internet fund. She said she didn’t want it and I left it anyway. I left and haven’t been back since. Their wireless is the slowest in the neighborhood. And, yes, we have internet now.
